SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The first game for Syracuse University football under new head coach Fran Brown is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff in the JMA Wireless Dome against the Ohio Bobcats on Aug. 31.
ACC Network (ACCN) will televise the contest.
In conjunction with the ACC, ESPN announced its early season and weeknight game times for the 2024 season, with Syracuse’s first four opponents and its Thursday night trip to Pittsburgh included in the selections, the university said in its Thursday announcement.
The first ACC contest will come a week after the Ohio game, when Georgia Tech visits the Orange for a 12 p.m. kickoff on ACCN.
ESPN will broadcast a Friday, Sept. 20 matchup with Stanford. The first meeting between the two programs will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on the 44th anniversary of the first game played in the JMA Wireless Dome, Syracuse noted.
A week later, the Orange will host Holy Cross in a 12 p.m. kickoff on ACCNX.
Later in the season, after two road games (at UNLV and at N.C. State), Syracuse will conclude its longest road swing of the season with an Oct. 24 Thursday night game at Acrisure Stadium against Pitt, which will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and be televised on ESPN.
Kickoff times for the remaining games on the 2024 Syracuse football schedule will be announced at a later time.
