BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — The Family & Children’s Society of Binghamton has appointed Cara Fraser as Family Mental Health Clinic director, effective Oct. 20.
Fraser is a licensed clinical social worker “R” psychotherapy privilege (LCSW-R) and hold a master’s degree in public administration, according to a news release from the nonprofit.
Fraser has worked for the Greater Binghamton Health Center and Broome County Mental Health Clinic and has significant administrative experience, according to the release.
The Family Mental Health Clinic of the Family & Children’s Society says it has been expanding since June 2014, including adding several clinical social workers, part-time nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists.
The Family & Children’s Society has locations in Binghamton, Owego, and Johnson City. It says it’s a community provider of human services, “committed to renewing hope for those who face challenges due to troubling circumstances.” The society provides an array of counseling services and home-care services.
