SYRACUSE, N.Y. — FedEx Ground plans to hire more than 120 employees in the Syracuse area to “meet surging demand” for e-commerce services.
The company is hiring for its locations at 7020 Van Buren Road in Van Buren and at 6650 New Venture Gear Drive in DeWitt, the company tells CNYBJ in an email message.
Open positions are available for package handlers to load and unload packages. Many of these positions may become full-time job opportunities as the company continues to expand capacity in response to “ongoing customer demand.”
FedEx Ground says the position benefits include “competitive” wages with day, night and weekend shifts available; along with a “wide range of benefits after a minimum threshold of service,” including medical, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, holiday pay, and tuition reimbursement.
In addition, the company offers paid parental leave and employee discounts on cell-phone service, groceries, car purchases and more, per its release.
To apply, an applicant must be at least 18 years old and FedEx Ground has no minimum education requirements.
