FLH College of Nursing and Health Sciences graduates 56 in its 14th class

GENEVA, N.Y. — The 14th class of Finger Lakes Health (FLH) College of Nursing and Health Sciences included 56 students who were pinned and graduated this year.

FLH held its pinning and commencement ceremonies May 21 at the Smith Center for the Arts in Geneva.  The ceremonies were also live streamed on fingerlakes1.com, FLH noted.

Kathleen Mills, dean of the Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing & Health Sciences, welcomed students and guests to the pinning ceremony and recognized faculty members for their efforts.

Faculty member and registered nurse (RN) Debra Crane presented pins to the graduates and Mills, also an RN, presented the special awards, FLH said in its news release.

Mills also served as the master of ceremonies for the commencement ceremony and delivered the Dean’s Address. Dr. Jose Acevedo, President & CEO of Finger Lakes Health and President, Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing & Health Sciences, gave the President’s Address. 

Donn Taylor gave the class address, and Dr. Acevedo joined Mills in presenting the degrees to the graduates, FLH said.
