CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. — New York State Police recently arrested a Cortland man for allegedly stealing more than $5,000 from his employer.
Troopers charged Matthew R. Grady, 34, with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.
The State Police began investigating in August 2021 after a trooper was dispatched for a complaint that an employee was taking money while working at Beer Depot in Cortlandville. The investigation revealed that Grady allegedly took more than $5,000 while working at the small business.
Grady was arrested on Oct. 5. He was processed at the State Police location in Homer and then transported to the Cortland County Jail for central arraignment and processing.
