CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. — New York State Police recently arrested a Cortland man for allegedly stealing more than $5,000 from his employer.

Troopers charged Matthew R. Grady, 34, with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

The State Police began investigating in August 2021 after a trooper was dispatched for a complaint that an employee was taking money while working at Beer Depot in Cortlandville. The investigation revealed that Grady allegedly took more than $5,000 while working at the small business.
