OWEGO — A new antique shop with a French country theme has opened on River Row in Owego. The Left Bank shop features antique and cottage-painted furniture, linens, purses, jewelry, scarves, and clothing.
The store’s décor features a soft ivory palette, accented by mercury glass, slightly tarnished silver, and old-world treasures, the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce said in a news release.
Lucy Silverstein is owner of The Left Bank. She was formerly co-owner of Rambling Rose Antiques and Gifts in Endicott. “I like the imperfection of time-worn things that don’t mind showing their age,” Silverstein said in the release.
The Left Bank is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays through Saturdays. It is closed on Tuesdays. The store is also open on the first and third Sundays of the month from noon to 3 p.m.
The Left Bank is located at 194 Front St. and the phone number is (607) 223-4150.
The Tioga County Chamber will hold a ribbon cutting for The Left Bank this Friday, May 3, at 11 a.m.
