Frontier Airlines restarts nonstop service from Syracuse to Fort Myers

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: ULCC) on Thursday restarted nonstop service from Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) to Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers (RSW).

Denver, Colorado–based Frontier will offer flights to Fort Myers three times per week, per the original announcement on Aug 23. Frontier Airlines describes itself as an “ultra-low fare carrier,” according to its Thursday news release.

“As demand for Central New York air travel options surges to unprecedented levels, we appreciate our partner Frontier Airlines relaunching their nonstop service to Fort Myers,” Jason Terreri, executive director of the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority, said in the Frontier release. “We thank our partner Frontier Airlines for recognizing and seizing the opportunity to help us meet the growing needs of our community.”
