SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Frontier Airlines plans to restart nonstop seasonal air service to Fort Myers, Florida (RSW) from Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) in November.
Frontier will offer flights to Fort Myers three times per week, beginning Nov. 16. With the new air service, Frontier serves a total of four destinations from SYR, per Frontier’s announcement.
“We appreciate our partner Frontier Airlines recognizing this opportunity to increase service to Southwest Florida for our Central New York travelers,” Jason Terreri, executive director of the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority, said in a Frontier news release. “More passengers are currently electing to travel through our airport than in the past 34 years, making additional service such as this nonstop route to Fort Myers more important than ever in fulfilling the growing demand for travel for our region.”
Frontier is also restarting similar flights to Fort Myers from Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF), beginning Nov. 17, Frontier said.
To acknowledge the restart, Frontier Airlines says it is offering fares as low as $39 on both routes.
To take advantage of that price, consumers must make their purchase at FlyFrontier.com by 11:59 p.m. eastern time on Aug. 29. Fares are valid for nonstop travel on select days of week and are valid through Feb. 13, 2024, per the Frontier announcement.
The following blackout dates apply: Nov. 18-22, 24-27, 2023; Dec. 20-24, 26-31, 2023; Jan. 1-6, 12, 15, 2024. Round trip purchase is not required, the airline noted.
