SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: ULCC) will restart seasonal, nonstop flights between Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) and Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) this spring.
The low-cost carrier will resume the service between Syracuse and Raleigh-Durham on April 28, the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) and Frontier Airlines on announced Wednesday.
Frontier plans to fly the route Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, SRAA added.
The Denver, Colorado–based air carrier intends to service the SYR-RDU route with its A320 and A320neo aircraft, carrying 180 to 186 passengers.
“We’re excited that Central New Yorkers can resume convenient leisure travel directly to Raleigh-Durham next month,” Jason Terreri, SRAA executive director, said. “Frontier’s resumption of service will reconnect Central New York to one of our top requested markets.”
