Galson announces another acquisition

DeWITT — Galson Laboratories announced its second acquisition in less than a week today.

The company has acquired Occupational and Environmental Health Laboratory (OEHL) in Hamilton, Ontario. The move expands Galson’s presence in Ontario where it already has an office in Mississauga.

Based in DeWitt, Galson provides laboratory testing services to the industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, and environmental industries.

“We have seen exceptional growth in Canada over the past five years and this opportunity to acquire a well-respected laboratory such as OEHL will accelerate that growth even more,” Galson Laboratories President and CEO Joe Unangst said in a news release.  “We felt it was necessary to expand and OEHL seemed to be a perfect fit for us.”

Galson has additional facilities in Charleston, S.C.; Alameda, Calif.; Seabrook, Texas; Stevens Point, Wisc.; Anchorage, Alaska; and Honolulu.
