LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. — Meeples Mug House, billed as a welcoming board game café that centers upon community, will formally open in downtown Little Falls on Friday afternoon, Aug. 9.

The business will hold a ribbon cutting and grand-opening event with the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce at 2 p.m., the chamber said in a news release. The Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce is also participating in the event, according to the Meeples Mug House Facebook page.

The coffeehouse first opened to customers in mid-March.

The Meeples Mug House menu includes a variety of grilled-cheese paninis, light snacks, and its signature mug cakes, per the release. The café’s beverage menu includes more than 30 different teas, egg creams, and Italian sodas, along with more traditional café drinks. Meeples has more than 150 unique titles available in its game library and offers weekly special events.
