Gift shop at Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts to formally reopen Saturday

LITTLE FALLS — The Selective Eye, a gift shop in the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts (MVCA), will celebrate its grand reopening on Saturday, April 5 from noon to 4 p.m.

The store, located at 401 Canal Place in Little Falls, will add new items to its spring collection after the reopening, which include paper clay necklaces and earrings, stained glass magnetic pins and scarf slides, a kids’ corner with Beatrix Potter characters, pottery, sculptures of garden insects, food items, homemade chocolate, colorful scarves, original art, and prints, MVCA said in a news release.

The shop carries merchandise from more than 20 local artists, some of whom will be on hand at the grand reopening.

The MVCA galley will be displaying the artwork of Brenda Antonowicz, with the show entitled, “Rising to the Surface.”

MVCA says it is a nonprofit that has promoted the arts for residents of the Mohawk Valley since 1982. And, the new Selective Eye store will be open Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.
