DICKINSON, N.Y. — The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce is hosting a job and career fair on Thursday Aug. 10 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the SUNY Broome Ice Center at 907 Front St.
Local businesses with positions to fill are encouraged to register for the event, which is free and open to all job seekers. Interested companies can register on the chamber’s website.
The Greater Binghamton Chamber will scan each résumé collected at the job fair and create an online database that participating companies can access after the event at no additional cost. Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their résumé to the event.
More than three dozen companies representing an array of fields have already registered for the event.
Job fairs are a way to bring together employers and job seekers in one venue, directly connecting people with employment opportunities in the community. The chamber holds the fairs twice a year.
