ONEIDA, N.Y. — The Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce has named Rachel Siderine president of the chamber for 2022-2023.
Siderine is manager of AmeriCU Credit Union’s Oneida Financial Center. An Oneida native and SUNY Morrisville graduate, she has been with the credit union since 1989. Siderine serves as secretary for the Chamber Alliance of the Mohawk Valley, and is a member of the board for the Baldwin Fund. She previously served as the Greater Oneida Chamber’s treasurer for more than eight years.
“I am very honored to serve in this capacity for such a long-standing community organization,” Siderine said in a release. “I have lived in this area for most of my life and am very committed to seeing us grow and succeed together.”
The chamber’s goal as the area continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, she said, is to work toward improving the quality of life for all through the support and commitment of members, volunteers, and committees.
“The main way we can forge through this pandemic is by helping one another, showing generosity, and by providing support in this great community that we live and work in,” she said in a letter to chamber members.
Siderine also urged members to be actively involved with the chamber and community. “People want to do business with those they know and trust, and the only way to do that is to become active and participate,” she said. “We all know one of the best methods of [securing] new business is through referrals and networking.”
