UTICA, N.Y. — The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce announced it has named First Source Federal Credit Union CEO Mike Parsons as its 31st annual Business Person of the Year.
The chamber will honor Parsons at an event on the evening of May 24 at The Parish on Broadway in Utica.
Parsons has led First Source Federal Credit Union as CEO for the past 17 years. The credit union has five Mohawk Valley branches plus a full-service call center, with $475 million in assets, and more than 40,000 members, according to a Greater Utica Chamber email announcement.
“Even more importantly, Mike’s passion for the community has been the primary driver behind First Source becoming a recognized influence in the Mohawk Valley. He has an eagerness to help, going above and beyond initial community requests, often contributing more resources than were initially asked,” the chamber said in the email.
