Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber to relocate office

WATERTOWN, N.Y. — The Greater Watertown-North Country (GWNC) Chamber of Commerce on Thursday announced plans to move its office, effective Nov. 1.

The chamber’s new home will be in the recently renovated Bruce M. Wright Memorial Conference Center at 1291 Faichney Drive, Ste 1 in Watertown, according to a chamber news release. The GWNC Chamber currently operates at 1241 Coffeen St. in Watertown. The release did not provide any details on square footage or other attributes of the chamber’s future or current home.

The move will enable the organization to “grow its programs” while focusing on its mission to help members “grow and prosper,” support existing businesses, and help in attracting and developing new businesses, the chamber contended in the release.

“The space we are moving into will allow us to focus our attention on growing and improving the things we do best, [which include] serving area businesses, providing premium networking opportunities and events, and connecting businesses with the community throughout the North Country,” Lynn Pietroski, president and CEO of GWNC Chamber of Commerce, said.

The membership organization said it is “continually” looking for opportunities to expand its services, partner with organizations, and be “a one stop shop for businesses.”

The GWNC Chamber hosts several networking events, along with Watertown’s farm and craft market, the Jefferson Leadership Institute, North Country Procurement Technical Assistance Program, Greater Watertown Service Corp., the Small Business Assistance Program, and Community Health Advocates, according to its news release.
