Hancock Estabrook adds to business practice

SYRACUSE — Attorney Richard Scrimale has joined the business department at Syracuse–based law firm Hancock Estabrook, LLP.

He will focus on corporate reorganizations, dissolutions, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, and estate and tax planning for businesses. Scrimale has represented closely held and family-owned companies for years, according to Hancock.

He is a certified public accountant as well.

“We are delighted to welcome Rick to our firm,” Hancock Managing Partner Janet Callahan said in a news release. “As a certified public accountant and an accredited business valuator, he will allow us to provide our business and corporate clients with an even greater range of legal services.”

Scrimale was previously a member of the business practice group at Scolaro, Shulman, Cohen, Fetter & Burstein, P.C. of Syracuse.
