HARLEY FULLER was recently appointed by Mohawk Valley Community College as its new men’s basketball head coach. He brings successful experience from his time as a coach and as a professional basketball player. Most recently, Fuller served as assistant men’s basketball coach and director of player development at Siena College. He helped guide the team to a 20-10 campaign in 2020, including a perfect 14-0 mark at home, highlighted by a MAAC regular season and tournament championship, receiving an automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Tournament, which was canceled due to COVID-19. He also helped lead the program to 17 wins in 2019. Fuller also previously served as an assistant coach and director of scouting and analytics at Mount St. Mary College. Earlier in his career, Fuller was assistant coach for the Albany City Rocks AAU (2016-2017), and head boys’ basketball coach at Mayfield High School (2015-2016). In his five seasons as a professional basketball player, Fuller racked up more than 1,500 career points and over 550 career assists. He has played professionally for the Giessen Basketball Club in Germany (2014-2015), 9 De Julio in Argentina (2012-2014), BG Illertal Basketball Club in Germany (2011-2012), and Tus Treis Karden in Germany (2010-2011). Fuller was a basketball standout at Broadalbin Perth High School in Fulton County, and went on to play at SUNY Cobleskill from 2006-2008, where he broke school records for assists and was the only player in school history to sign a Division I scholarship. He then played for Florida International University (NCAA Division I) from 2008-2009 and Molloy College (NCAA Division II) from 2009-2010. Fuller earned an associate degree in sports management from SUNY Cobleskill, a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Excelsior College, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport administration at Southeastern Oklahoma State.
