CARTHAGE AREA HOSPITAL

Carthage Area Hospital has hired ANDREA L. COLEfor its provider team at the Women’s Way to Wellness OB/GYN clinic as a certified nurse midwife. She graduated from Jamestown Community College with an associate degree and earned her RN designation. Cole graduated from the certified nurse midwife program at Frontier Nursing University, Hyden, Kentucky, with a master’s degree in nursing, after which she passed the American Midwifery Certification Board qualifying exam. Before completing her midwifery education, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania for four years and as a home birth midwife assistant for four years.

HCR Home Care has adds the following employees to its Central New York operations. ALLISON BARLETTA, RN case manager in Madison County; JOYCE KAPRAL, RN assessment nurse in Madison County; LISA WOLFE, patient services coordinator in Onondaga County; KEIRUKA NWUGWO, RN case manager in Onondaga County; and REGINA REID, patient services coordinator in Onondaga County.

MOHAWK VALLEY HEALTH SYSTEM

ANTHONY DISCHIAVI has been named director of medical imaging at the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS). He has been employed by MVHS since 2003 and has served as CT technologist and cross sectional/CT physics instructor and patient care instructor at the Faxton St. Luke’s School of Radiology in Utica. Most recently, Dischiavi held the position of assistant director and systems administrator for the medical imaging department at MVHS. He received his diploma in medical radiography from the Faxton St. Luke’s School of Medical Radiography in Utica and his associate degree from Herkimer County Community College; he earned his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Empire State College in Saratoga.
