CARTHAGE AREA HOSPITAL

SUSAN KIM is the newest addition to the Clinical Nutrition Department at Carthage Area Hospital. Kim is a Denver native who moved to the North Country last summer with her fiancée and has been working to provide additional nutritional services in the community and at the hospital’s school-based health centers. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado where she received her bachelor’s degree in ecology and evolutionary biology. Kim then continued her education through Colorado State University, where she received her master’s degree in food science and human nutrition. Kim is also a board-certified nutrition support clinician.

 

ROME MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Rome Memorial Hospital has named JAMES MARQUETTE director of plant operations following the retirement of director Edward Koziarz. Marquette previously served as the department’s assistant director. The plant-operations department is responsible for maintenance of the hospital building and 13 off-site facilities.

 

ST. JOSEPH’S HEALTH

REGINA MCGRAW has been appointed VP and chief compliance officer at St. Joseph’s Health. McGraw most recently served as a senior attorney at Syracuse–based law firm Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC. She takes over for Margaret Hall, who had been serving as interim compliance officer at St. Joseph’s Health since January 2016. With McGraw’s hiring, Hall returns to her previous role as the organization’s director of integrity and compliance. As chief compliance officer, McGraw will oversee the monitoring and reporting of all regulatory compliance programs within St. Joseph’s Health. She’ll also provide “strategic guidance” to the board of trustees and senior-leadership team. McGraw will serve as the subject-matter expert on all policies and procedures associated with the general operation of a formal-compliance program. They include regulations associated with physician contracts, coding and billing, clinical-integration networks, and accountable-care organizations. She will also advise and consult with the St. Joseph’s Health CEO, along with senior leaders and physicians throughout the system to help St. Joseph’s and its parent company, Trinity Health, “maintain compliance across the full continuum of care.”

ST. JOSEPH’S PHYSICIANS FAMILY MEDICINE

ROMAN BATYUK has joined St. Joseph’s Physicians Family Medicine at Northeast Medical Center in Fayetteville as a family nurse practitioner. He earned his master’s family nurse practitioner degree from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica and bachelor’s degree in nursing from Keuka College. Batyuk most recently worked as a critical care registered nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, where he continues to be an active member of the clinical faculty for the St. Joseph’s College of Nursing.
