Adaobi Enekwizu, M.D.

Pediatricians AYOTUNDE O. ADEYEYE, M.D. and ADAOBI ENEKWIZU, M.D. have joined the staff at Rome Medical Group. The new pediatricians are accepting new patients at the hospital-affiliated practice, located at 1801 Black River Boulevard. Adeyeye joins his wife, pediatrician Olubukola T. Adeyeye, M.D. at the practice. Both Drs. Adeyeye and Enekwizu are part of the Rome Medical Group pediatric team. A native of Nigeria, Adeyeye earned a bachelor’s degree in medicine and a bachelor’s degree in surgery from Obafemi Awolowo University College of Health Sciences, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, Bronx. Enekwizu, also from Nigeria, earned a bachelor’s degree in medicine and bachelor’s degree in surgery from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Nigeria. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center, Brooklyn, where she provided care in the well baby nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nursery at the hospital, as well as caring for pediatric patients in the outpatient and emergency units. She is certified in neonatal resuscitation and pediatric advance life support. 

ROME MEMORIAL HOSPITAL


MANON GOUSE has been appointed assistant VP of therapeutic services and patient safety officer at Rome Memorial Hospital. Formerly the director of rehabilitation therapy services, she has been employed with the hospital since 2007. The appointment is one of a series of organizational changes that provide a supportive structure. As part of those changes, RENA HUGHES has been named the new director of therapy services. Formerly the assistant director, she has been employed with the hospital since 2009. Gouse received her bachelor’s degree in hearing and speech sciences and her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in health-care administration through Utica College. Hughes received her bachelor’s degree in health studies and master’s degree in physical therapy from Utica College. She is certified in the McKenzie Method, a specialized protocol for treating neck and back pain.

ST. JOSEPH’S HOSPITAL HEALTH CENTER
St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center has appointed MIKE ENDRIES, director, ACO/CIN programs and operations. Endries’ deep understanding of value-based payments and population health has been instrumental in the development of both St. Joseph’s Accountable Care Organization and Clinically Integrated Network. Endries brings to his new position more than 13 years of experience developing working relationships with physicians and third-party payers — most recently as manager of revenue integrity and system contracting, where he was responsible for negotiating and managing contractual arrangements and relationships with third-party payers.

SYRACUSE ORTHOPEDIC SPECIALISTS

Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists (SOS) recently hired MICHAEL G. FITZGERALD, M.D., to its Hand & Wrist and Shoulder teams. He is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. Prior to joining SOS, Fitzgerald completed a fellowship at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis. Before that, he completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. Fitzgerald earned a bachelor’s degree in science from Le Moyne College, and earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University.
