HEALTH HOME NETWORK

JANE VAIL has recently been promoted to executive director of Central New York Health Home Network (CNYHHN). She has extensive experience in the health-care and mental-health field. She formerly served as director of Community of Resources and Expertise and also was formerly director of children’s services at the Oneida County Department of Mental Health. Vail received a master’s degree in counseling and social work from SUNY Oneonta.

LORETTO

Loretto has promoted KATIE CARR to director of clinical nutrition at The Commons on St. Anthony in Auburn. She was previously a registered dietitian nutritionist with Loretto at The Commons on St. Anthony and also has several years of experience as a nutritionist from elder care facilities in New York and North Carolina. Carr holds a bachelor’s degree in medicinal chemistry from SUNY Buffalo, a master’s degree of public health from Upstate Medical University, and a master’s degree in nutrition from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina.

ST. JOSEPH’S HEALTH

Psychiatrist, JESSICA L. ASLAM, M.D. has joined St. Joseph’s Health in its Inpatient Psychiatric Department. She earned her doctorate in medicine from Saba University School of Medicine, Netherlands Antilles and an undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Maine. Aslam completed her residency in psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Prior to joining St. Joseph’s Health, she was director of psychiatric education, and a training and attending psychiatrist at Hutchings Psychiatric Center in Syracuse. Aslam simultaneously held a faculty appointment as an assistant professor of psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical University. She volunteers as a supervising educator and teacher at Hutchings Psychiatric Center, where she instructs second-year residents and third and fourth-year medical students on inpatient settings for severe and persistently ill mental-health patients. Aslam is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
