Health-care staffing firm Fortus Group rebrands

UTICA — The Fortus Group, a Utica–based health-care staffing firm, today announced it has rebranded to Fortus Healthcare Resources.

The change is intended to “accurately reflect and expand its full range of services for healthcare facilities and professionals,” the firm said in a news release.

Launched in 1993 as a dialysis-staffing firm, Fortus has since “enhanced” its focus and specialties to include recruitment and placement of health-care professionals, along with providing clinical-practice consulting and business-development services, the company said.

The rebranding strategy included a corporate logo, social-media outreach, and a redesigned website, www.fortusgroup.com.

“We recognize the importance of diversification and have expanded our business model to become a full-service healthcare consultant,” Michael Maurizio, president and CEO, said in the news release. “The new brand, Fortus Healthcare Resources, is an integral part of that continued growth strategy.”
