The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services awarded Helio Health $787,300 over two years to expand the current recovery center. The funding has allowed the recovery center to provide additional programming for individuals, increase staff, and expand hours, Helio Health said in a Wednesday news release.
Helio Health says its recovery center provides “person-centered” care and support to individuals in all stages of recovery, including peer-led support, and dynamic activities assisting individuals during every stage of their recovery.
The organization provides health services and support for individuals in detox; inpatient rehabilitation; integrated outpatient treatment; and a certified community behavioral-health clinic, residential services, and housing.
Helio Health also provides substance-use disorder assessments 24/7 at its regional open access center for addiction at 329 N. Salina St. in Syracuse, as well as its center of treatment innovation to “meet the needs of opiate epidemic,” per the release.
