Helio Health to open new Rochester inpatient center

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Syracuse–based Helio Health is moving into a new location in Rochester that it says will help treat more people with an increased capacity of 53 beds.

The agency has worked with those needing recovery from substance-use disorders and provided withdrawal and stabilization services in Rochester since 2009. It will now provide those services at 1850 Brighton Henrietta Townline Road, per its announcement.

The move demonstrates “the relationship Helio Health has with the community,” Sabrina Howland, Helio Health’s regional VP of the Finger Lakes, said.

“Our team is beyond excited to announce the opening of our new and updated facility providing detox and inpatient services to individuals in Rochester,” Howland said. “Our new facility aligns with Helio Health’s mission by providing a welcoming and safe space for individuals during a critical time in their recovery journey. We are grateful for the support of the community which has allowed us to create this space and reach more people in need.”

Helio Health plans to formally open the new inpatient center on Friday. The agency operates facilities in Syracuse, Rochester, Utica, and Binghamton.

“Building a place that includes our current understanding of what people need and want in a substance use treatment facility was critical to improving access to, and the quality of care for the people who walk through our doors,” Jeremy Klemanski, president and CEO of Helio Health, said. “I am encouraged by what we have been able to build with the support of so many people in the community and look forward to being able to serve more people with the addition of 13 more beds than the previous facility offered.”
