HERKIMER, N.Y. — Herkimer County Community College will hold its 54th commencement on Friday, May 13 at 4 p.m. in the physical education building.
Admission to the ceremony is by ticket only. Others may view a live webcast of the event at www.herkimer.edu/commencement. A reception for graduates and their guests will take place immediately following the ceremony.
Herkimer College has 337 graduates and candidates for degrees and certificates eligible to participate.
Board of Trustees Chairwoman Isabella Crandall will preside over the commencement ceremony while Adriana Doria Davis Sumter, a 2022 graduate of the music industry program from Dobbs Ferry, will sing the national anthem. Peyton McKinney, a 2022 graduate from the business administration program from Herkimer, will sign the program.
The Rev. Tamara K. Razzano, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Little Falls, will give the invocation and benediction, and Associate Professor Blake Pitcher will lead the procession as faculty representative and macebearer.
Student Government Association President Ryan Packard, Herkimer County Legislature Chairman Vincent J. Bono, state Assembly members Robert J. Smullen and Brian Miller, state Senators Peter Oberacker and James Tedisco, and Herkimer College Academic Senate President Lisa Elwood-Farber will all speak at the event.
College President Cathleen C. McColgin, with assistance from Provost Michael Oriolo, will confer the degrees.
