ITHACA, N.Y. — HOLT Architects, which has offices in Ithaca and Syracuse, announced it has recently promoted Christopher J. Apker from controller to chief financial officer. (CFO).

Apker has worked for HOLT Architects since 2002. During his tenure as controller and now CFO, he provides strategic leadership on the firm’s financial affairs, plays an essential role in operations with planning, forecasting, and benchmarking, and oversees the firm’s business team and functions.

“Chris has always been a critical member of the HOLT team. We are excited about his promotion in recognition of his talents and accepting new responsibilities as the firm grows and expands,” Paul Levesque, president of HOLT Architects, said in a release.

Apker received his bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University and his MBA from Le Moyne College. He grew up in Central New York, attended Dryden High School, and now lives in Homer.

HOLT is an architecture, planning, and interior-design firm employing 38 people across the region, providing services to clients in health care, higher education, housing, banking, and other industries.
