SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Home HeadQuarters Inc. will use new federal funding of $387,000 to develop and preserve affordable housing, revitalize neighborhoods, and create jobs in Central New York.
The funds are available through NeighborWorks America, a congressionally chartered and funded nonprofit organization with affiliates in every state, including Home HeadQuarters, Inc. in Syracuse, the office of U.S. Representative John Katko (R–Camillus) announced.
Home HeadQuarters serves as a community-development organization and certified community development financial institution (CDFI) that works to create housing opportunities and provide access to affordable financial services for Central New Yorkers. The organization is located at 538 Erie Blvd. West in Syracuse.
“With this new award, Home HeadQuarters can continue its mission of rehabilitating properties in Syracuse and expanding opportunities for Central New Yorkers,” Katko said.
