SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Hotel Skyler Syracuse, located at 601 S. Crouse Ave. in Syracuse, is the “first” property under the Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand.
Launched this year, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is a “gathering of original upscale hotels that caters to guests seeking reliability and value in their independent hotel choices,” according to a news release that Hilton issued recently.
The Woodbine Group of Syracuse owns Hotel Skyler Syracuse, while Woodbine Hospitality manages the property.

The 58-room, “eco-friendly” Hotel Skyler Syracuse was the “city’s first” to achieve LEED platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, the release stated. LEED is short to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
Built in 1922, the facility was first home to the Temple Adath Yeshurun congregation and later to the Salt City Center for the Performing Arts.
“With its storied history, contemporary style and eco-friendly focus, Hotel Skyler Syracuse perfectly embodies the independent spirit of our newest brand,” Mark Nogal, global head of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, said in the release. “Our first hotel illustrates how the collection encourages hotels to preserve what makes them original while also offering new opportunities for our guests to enjoy the reliability and benefits that come with our Hilton Honors program.”
Tapestry Collection by Hilton has 24 deals “in various forms of committed development,” including properties in Glen Allen, Virginia. and Hampton, Virginia, and an additional 50 deal discussions “taking place.”
