HUNT Real Estate acquires Rivet Realty in Old Forge

OLD FORGE, N.Y. — HUNT Real Estate ERA has expanded to the Adirondacks, acquiring Rivet Realty, a family-run real estate firm located in Old Forge.

Rivet Realty has served the region for 46 years and employs 10 real-estate agents, all of whom will be joining HUNT, the company said in a news release.

The new offices bring the total number of HUNT branches to 38 across Upstate, Central, and Western New York. The company is headquartered in suburban Buffalo.

“Continuing our growth in New York State, we couldn’t be happier to enter into the 6 million acre Adirondack Park by acquiring Rivet Realty,” Dale Evans, general manager of HUNT Real Estate’s Central New York & Capital regions, said in the release. “We are eager to build upon what Bill Rivet and his fine agents have already made the preeminent Adirondack Park real estate company for over 40 years.”

HUNT Real Estate ERA will use the current Rivet Realty office at 2979 Route 28 in Old Forge.

This is the second major territory expansion in as many weeks for HUNT Real Estate ERA, after previously announcing the acquisition of The Lang Agency’s two offices in the Southern Tier cities of Hornell and Alfred.
