Hutchins named director of three of Rome Memorial Hospital’s primary care facilities

ROME, N.Y. — Kristen Hutchins has been named director of Rome Memorial Hospital’s primary care facilities in Rome, Camden, and Boonville, the hospital announced.

“After working for me at Rome Medical Group for several years, Kristen took on the position of practice administrator at Delta Medical and then added the administrative role at Boonville Family Care to her responsibilities. She has managed these two primary care facilities so well, I have no doubt that she is the perfect choice for director of all three of Rome Memorial Hospital’s primary care facilities,” Rosemel Atkinson, VP of physician practices at Rome Memorial Hospital (RMH), said in a news release.

Hutchins has more than 15 years of experience working in a primary care office setting, allowing her a “unique perspective” of the needs of both patients and care givers, RMH said. In addition to her work experience, Hutchins has taken several classes in medical administration through Mohawk Valley Community College.

As director of the three facilities, some of Hutchins’ responsibilities will include helping to recruit new providers, maintaining adherence to government health codes and guidelines, handling employee evaluations, and ensuring patient satisfaction.

“My goals for my new position are to help these facilities run smoothly and efficiently and to help them grow,” Hutchins said.

RMH’s primary care offices are located at:

  • Delta Medical, (adult care only) 1819 Black River Blvd., Rome
  • Camden Family Care, 5 Masonic Ave., Camden
  • Boonville Family Care, 13407 Route 12, Boonville

RMH is a nonprofit health-care system based in Rome, providing services to patients throughout Central New York. It is an affiliate of St. Joseph’s Health.
