iV4, information-technology firm with Syracuse office, expands into Buffalo market

“We’re excited to bring iV4’s ability to develop strategic technology solutions to organizations throughout Buffalo’s expanding market,” Mike Spoont, CEO of iV4, said in the company’s Wednesday news release. “Adding our newest office in Buffalo demonstrates iV4’s commitment to our existing clients there and to the entire Western New York region.”

iV4 has grown to 55 employees and “rapidly” expanded its security and cloud-consulting services. The company in 2019 plans to add 12 more staff members, “several of those in the Buffalo region.”

The current employee count includes 20 people in the Syracuse office, Rebecca Spoont, marketing manager at iV4, said in an email response to a BJNN inquiry.

The firm also says it increased its revenue 40 percent in 2018 compared to 2017, per its news release.

iV4 is the result of a 2011 merger between two companies, Syracuse–based Visory Group, and Rochester–based Integrity Networking Systems, per the firm’s website.

At its inception, iV4 had four partners, so the firm’s name is derived from the “I” and “V” from the merging companies and the number of original partners, the website says.
