SYRACUSE, N.Y. — JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU) plans to add another daily, nonstop flight from Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) directly to Orlando International Airport this fall.
The carrier will operate two daily nonstop flights directly to the Central Florida destination beginning in October, the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) announced Wednesday afternoon.
The additional daily flight was revealed as part of a larger announcement from JetBlue earlier in the day.
“Orlando is our top destination by far and this additional daily flight provides another convenient option to access Central Florida for the Central New York Region,” Jason Terreri, executive director of SRAA, said in the announcement. “This increase in frequency aligns well with our community’s need to access Central Florida and beyond.”
JetBlue Airways operates daily nonstop flights to three destinations from SYR including Boston, Massachusetts; New York City; (JFK), and Orlando, Florida (MCO).
