Binghamton University announced that Jim Broschart has been named vice president for advancement, effective July 1. He earned his MBA from Binghamton University, and comes to Binghamton from his position as vice president for college advancement at Hartwick College. Prior to Broschart’s position at Hartwick, he held positions as director of development for the College of Arts and Sciences and then director of regional advancement for Syracuse University. He also held previous positions in development for SUNY Oswego and the Hospice of Central New York. Broschart earned his bachelor’s degree in health services administration from Ithaca College and has received a number of honors during his career. They include being named to the Business Journal News Network’s inaugural 40 under Forty awards for professional and civic accomplishments, as well as Leadership Greater Syracuse and Leadership Oswego County recognitions.
