InterFaith Works of CNY recently appointed Kari Liberatore as reception and placement coordinator/intensive case manager. She is responsible for the reception and placement period for refugees utilizing the agency’s Center for New Americans. Liberatore earned her master’s degree in social work degree from Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City and her bachelor’s degree in education from Georgia Southern University. Her previous experience includes serving as an adjunct professor of sociology at Cayuga Community College and as an English and special education teacher at Newton County Public Schools in Covington, Ga.
