SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Kung Fu Tea, a New York City–based tea shop chain specializing in bubble tea flavors, will open a store at Destiny USA this June, the mall announced today.
The 700-square-foot store will be located next to Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters on the second floor of Destiny USA’s Canyon Café. The shop is currently under construction and is expected to open in early June, Destiny said in a news release.
Served either hot or cold, bubble tea is a Taiwanese drink, traditionally made with a tea base, fruit or milk, and chewy tapioca pearls, the release explained. Kung Fu Tea’s flavor varieties range from green and black tea-based beverages to fruit slushes and coffee drinks. Customers can customize their drinks, choosing ingredient add-ins and varying amounts of sugar and ice.
