Le Moyne names Madden School trading center in honor of three alumni from same family

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Le Moyne College has named the trading center in the Madden School of Business in honor of three alumni from the same family.

The school on Friday held a short ceremony to unveil a sign above the entrance to the “Errico Family Trading Center,” which seeks to help prepare students for careers on Wall Street.

Le Moyne is naming the center in honor of Robert Errico, a Syracuse native who graduated in 1957; his wife, Nicolena Scirto Errico, who graduated in 1959; and their son, Chris Errico, a 1990 graduate of Le Moyne College.

Friday’s dedication was the result of the Errico family’s service to the college and its financial support, Joseph Della Posta, Le Moyne’s director of communication, said in response to a BJNN email inquiry.

The family members have donated about $1 million to Le Moyne College “during their lifetime of giving,” he added.

“They funded this beautiful center,” says James (Jim) Joseph, dean of the Madden School of Business. Joseph spoke with BJNN at the event.

Robert Errico, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics, worked in the financial-services industry for nearly 50 years, according to background information that Le Moyne provided.

In his last position, Errico served as COO of New York City–based Locust Wood Capital LP.

Chris Errico is currently managing director at UBS Financial Services and the managing partner of Errico Partners Group of USB, according to the background information.

Established in 2011 and named for Le Moyne College alumnus Michael Madden in 2012, the Madden School of Business moved into the renovated Mitchell Hall in 2013.
