SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Le Moyne College on Sunday announced that it will conduct classes virtually during the first nine days of the spring semester between Tuesday, Jan. 18 and Friday, Jan. 28.
During this period, classes will meet via Zoom at their normally scheduled meeting times.
The college also noted that classes in the physician-assistant studies program — along with those MBA classes that were set to begin on Monday (Jan. 10) — will still be held in person as originally scheduled. All other classes that were scheduled to start on Monday will be held virtually.

Le Moyne says it made the decision “to ensure the best possible start to the spring semester and the safest conditions under which to gather again as a learning community,” per a message from Le Moyne leadership posted Sunday on the school’s website.
Le Moyne College President Linda LeMura and James Hannan, provost and VP for academic affairs, both wrote the letter.
All residential students can return to campus housing beginning this Friday, Jan. 14. Facilities and services will be open and accessible to all residential and commuter undergraduate and graduate students at that time. They include the library, recreation center, campus center and dining facilities, health and wellness center, and chapel.
Students who choose not to return on Jan. 14 will receive more information about move-in options soon, Le Moyne said.
Students who would benefit from the college’s technology infrastructure and services during the first nine days of remote learning “are encouraged to return to campus by the start of the semester,” the college added.
All classes will begin in-person instruction and learning during the third week of the semester, beginning Jan. 31. The only exception will be for classes originally scheduled to include remote instruction, such as some continuous education and graduate classes.
