Leadership Greater Syracuse announces Class of 2015

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Leadership Greater Syracuse (LGS) has announced the Class of 2015 for its annual, yearlong community leadership-training program.

The new class participated in an orientation and mingled with past program alumni at a holiday social Tuesday evening at the Palace Theater in Syracuse. The rest of the program starts in January.

“Participants in the Class of 2015 will be immersed in the issues and achievements of our community and through the program, they will be provided the tools and the connections they need to give back to CNY in a way that is significant,” Pam Brunet, LGS executive director, said in a news release.

The participants represent a cross-section of local businesses, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations. The program teaches participants about community leadership, empowerment, group dynamics, community opportunities and trends, and how to transform communities using its assets while solving problems, the organization contends.

“LGS has a long track record in inspiring people to make a difference in the community where we live and work,” Brunet said.
