DeWITT, N.Y. — Leadership Greater Syracuse (LGS), a nonprofit that offers a yearlong civic-leadership training program, announced six new members of its board of directors. Elected to serve three-year terms are:
- Madeleine DiGristina: manager, capture management at SRC (LGS Class of 2018)
- Franklin Fry: executive director, American Heart Association (LGS Class of 2013)
- Marcelle Hadddix, Ph.D.: Reading and Language Arts Department chair, Syracuse University
- Victor Parker: regional sales director, HM Insurance Group (LGS Class of 2011)
- Jeremy Wheeler: chief technical officer, VIP Structures (LGS Class of 2012)
- Julie White, Ph.D.: senior VP of student engagement and learning support, Onondaga Community College
LGS also announced that four board members were re-elected as officers. They include:
- President: Jeannette Flowers, director of account management, UMR (LGS Class of 2008)
- Vice chair: Kathleen Bennett, member, Bond Schoeneck & King (LGS Class of 2008)
- Treasurer: Amy Lawler, VP of finance, CenterstateCEO (LGS Class of 2011)
- Secretary: Jennifer Smith, associate general counsel, C&S Companies (LGS Class of 2013)
“LGS is honored to have these high caliber professionals serve on our board of directors,” LGS Executive Director Pam Brunet said in a news release. “These individuals are leaders within their organizations and they epitomize the LGS mission by taking an active role in the community,” said Brunet.
LGS recently kicked off the program year for its Class of 2019, the organization’s 29th class.
