Leadership Greater Syracuse names new executive director

SYRACUSE — Leadership Greater Syracuse (LGS) has a new executive director — Pamela Brunet.

Brunet was recently a development officer with the Upstate Foundation, where she handled fundraising for Upstate University Hospital’s Community Campus. Previously, she worked as community affairs manager for Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., where she dealt with internal and external communications, including corporate giving.

She has also served as a board member and board president for the nonprofit support organization Hope for Bereaved.

“Pam has the right combination of skills that will help advance the mission of LGS,” the organization’s board chairman, Bill Sanford, said in a news release. “Pam brings a wealth of experience given her marketing and communications skills from Bristol, her nonprofit experience with the Upstate Foundation, and her board experience with Hope for Bereaved.”

Brunet is a graduate of LGS. The organization focuses on community leadership training.

“LGS graduates are making a difference in our community every day,” Brunet said. “I am honored to be part of a program that helps train individuals who are passionate about our community.”
