MARCY, N.Y. — Leadership Mohawk Valley — a local, community leader development program — has announced its class of 2016. It includes participants from the business, government, and nonprofit sectors in Herkimer and Oneida counties.
Leadership Mohawk Valley (LMV) seeks to “develop and inform” the region’s current and future leaders during the span of a program year from August to May, theorganization said in a news release issued Tuesday.
The program year begins with a day-and-a-half long orientation/opening retreat at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Marcy.

Topics will include human services, health care/health & wellness, education & lifelong learning, science & technology, economic development, and other topics.
The sessions give participants a “hands-on” look at key organizations and issues facing that particular field, along with access to decision makers.
