MARCY, N.Y. — Leadership Mohawk Valley (LMV) announced it has appointed six new members to its board of directors effective July 1.

The new members, all alumni of the LMV professional-development program, are: Michael Calogero, Upstate Cerebral Palsy; Gina Dier, Coventya, Inc.; Brant Ford, Ford English Financial Group; Major Michael Geer, Eastern Air Defense Sector; Jo-Anne Ricci, GPO Federal Credit Union; and Jessica Watson, Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

The new board members filled recently vacated seats, and join 12 current board members in shaping LMV’s curriculum design, policies, and financial decisions for the 26-year-old organization, according to a news release it issued.

LMV also announced a new slate of officers elected to lead the organization: President John Matthews, Northland Communications; Vice President Matt Briggs, Gates-Cole Insurance; Secretary Theresa Jalowiec, Northland Communications; Treasurer Dan Taillard; and Immediate Past President Jeremy Earl, The Root Farm.

Leadership Mohawk Valley is an annual, 10-month program that seeks to build greater community leadership, civic responsibility, and community trusteeship. Class members are placed into small teams to work on community projects.

LMV has more than 850 graduates from the Oneida and Herkimer County region.
