Little Falls Hospital appoints Britton as director of emergency services

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. — Dr. Lewis W. Britton, IV has been appointed as director of emergency services at Little Falls Hospital, an affiliate of Bassett Healthcare Network.

Britton will oversee staffing, operations, and quality in the emergency department, which receives an average of 15,000 visits annually.

“Under Britton’s leadership, we will continue to improve quality and expand patient services in this vitally important area of our hospital,” Michael Ogden, president of Little Falls Hospital, said in a news release. “He understands the emergency department is the front door to the hospital for many patients. I am very pleased Dr. Britton has accepted this position and am confident he will make sure patients receive exceptional care on a consistent basis.”

Britton said he has worked at the hospital for the past two years and enjoys “working and collaborating with staff to improve patient care and safety in the emergency room.”

Britton attended medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and completed his residency at Albany Medical Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
