Zawko, who started in her new position on Nov. 20, brings 25 years of leadership and clinical experience in both health care and education, according to Bassett. She most recently served as director of patient logistics at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown and before that, wad director of the College of Nursing at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse.
In her new post, Zawko will lead the “organizational efforts to deliver exceptional quality and safety for our patients, visitors and staff,” the hospital said in the release.
“Pat’s experience and education more than fulfilled the technical requirements for this important position, but it is her capacity and passion toward patient-centered care and her commitment to excellence that makes her uniquely qualified to become part of the culture that is Little Falls Hospital,” Michael Ogden, president of Little Falls Hospital, said.
Bassett Healthcare Network says it is an integrated health system that provides care and services to people living in a 5,600-square-mile region in upstate New York. The organization includes six corporately affiliated hospitals (including Little Falls Hospital), more than two dozen community-based health centers, 20 school-based health centers, and two skilled nursing facilities.
