Lockheed Martin plant wins $27M Navy contract order

SALINA — The Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) plant in the town of Salina has been awarded a $27.1 million firm-fixed-price delivery order under a U.S. Navy contract. It’s for the procurement of the submarine electronic-warfare system to include modernization kits, equipment, and installation.  Work will be performed in the Lockheed facility, just north of Syracuse, and is expected to be completed by May 2026, according to a March 22 contract announcement from the U.S. Department of Defense. Fiscal 2024 other procurement (Navy) funds of $27.1 million will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year, per the contract announcement. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C. is the contracting activity.
