Lockheed Martin Corp. Rotary and Mission Systems in Salina was recently awarded a more than $17.5 million modification to a previously awarded contract from the U.S. Navy. The cost-plus-incentive-fee adjustment is for engineering and maintenance services at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Detachment Pacific at Pearl Harbor Submarine Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity, in support of MK 48 Heavyweight Torpedo efforts. That’s according to a March 7 contract announcement from the U.S. Department of Defense. Work will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by February 2025. Fiscal 2024 operation and maintenance (Navy) funds of more than $1.9 million will be obligated at the time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, per the contract announcement. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C. is the contracting activity.
