AUBURN, N.Y. — Loretto has named Bryan Petko administrator of The Commons at St. Anthony in Auburn.

Petko has more than 20 years of experience in long-term care management in New York and Pennsylvania. He previously served as senior executive director of Golden Living Center Oil City, a long-term care and rehabilitation center affiliated with Guardian Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Oil City, Pennsylvania. During his 14 years there, he oversaw quality of care and services, regulatory requirements, and successfully managed the facility’s financial goals, according to a Loretto news release.

“I am very excited to be back in New York and join the Loretto family in Auburn,” Petko said. “Along with the team of talented and dedicated professionals, I look forward to ensuring our residents continue to enjoy the high-quality care and dedicated services we provide at The Commons. I appreciate the family atmosphere and the kind people I have met both in Auburn and at The Commons. I can already tell The Commons is a special place for our residents to live and our employees to work.”

From 2004-2006, Petko worked at Brothers of Mercy Rehabilitation Center in Clarence. He started as an administrator-in-training, before becoming director of facility services. Petko began his career in long-term care management in 2002 as an assistant administrator at the Waters of Aurora Park in East Aurora.

Petko holds a master’s degree in health-services administration from D’Youville College in Buffalo and a bachelor’s degree in legal studies from the University at Buffalo. He is a licensed nursing-home administrator in New York and Pennsylvania.

Loretto has 19 locations in Onondaga and Cayuga County that employ 2,500 people and provide adult day program, short-term rehabilitation, assisted living, and skilled-nursing facility services to nearly 10,000 people.
