LORI SHARPE has been named VP of sales and distribution at Preferred Mutual Insurance Company. She will be responsible for managing and driving sales, with a key focus on profitability, retention, and agency management strategies. Sharpe’s insurance career spans more than 25 years with expertise in deepening agency relationships to drive premium growth, profitability, and revenue for independent agents. Most recently, she was the assistant VP & regional manager, business development at a national property and casualty insurer where she oversaw sales and distribution for a five-state region. Sharpe also served as director and state manager of business development, where she led key business-development initiatives into new territories as well as the expansion of current agency territories. Sharpe has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Rutgers University and has earned her certified insurance counselor (or CIC) designation.
