Lourdes Hospital hires new chief medical officer

BINGHAMTON — Lisa Y. Harris, M.D., recently joined Lourdes Hospital as its vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer.

She comes to Lourdes from the Rochester area with experience in employed group practice, private practice, physician leadership, and community/business board leadership, Lourdes said in a news release.

Harris was previously the president of Temple Medical, a Rochester–based private medical practice with more than 3,000 patients, according to her LinkedIn page.

Harris completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Rochester, her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga., and her residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich. She is board-certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics, and she is a certified physician executive by the American College of Physician Executives.
